Since mental health is such an important, necessary topic in the 21st century, many Asian parents believe that if their children use mental health as an excuse, they're seen as weak. As a result, organizations such as AMHC were established to combat the stigma around mental health, but what is AMHC?

AMHC stands for Asian Mental Health Collective. According to their official website, their mission is to "normalize and de-stigmatize mental health within the Asian community." They hope that if we integrate our own backgrounds with the ideals of emotional well-being and mental health while providing the space and support to an individual.

Below is an image with AMHC's values.

One of AMHC famous projects is called My Asian Mental Health, which is a project that allows members of the Asian Diaspora to share their journeys with mental health and experiences in hopes of educating, discovering, and understanding our own health. Hearing and reading about others' stories allow us to realize that there are other people who have gone or are going through similar situations with mental health and stress. With this link (https://www.asianmhc.org/my-asian-mental-health/), you have the opportunity to read about hundreds of stories from people around the world.
